Seven Counties Visited by Queens Park Preserves in Glorious May

Queens Park Preserves outdoor show schedule starts to gather pace as summer approaches. May 2013 was our biggest month for sales and we are expecting May 2014 to be even better. We will be exhibiting at shows in seven separate counties during the month. This will be our third consecutive year at the Moira Canal Festival and the Staffordshire County Show. It is also our third year at the Stratford Food Festival which will be held once again at Stratford Racecourse. Evening racing shares top billing with the Food Festival on Friday and Saturday of this years event. A daily £10 admission charge for adults gives access to both the racing and the Food Festival events. After hugely successful shows in 2013 Queens Park Preserves return for a second year to both the Hertfordshire County Show and the Highclere Game & Country Fair. New for 2014 is our first visit to the prestigious Surrey County Show in Stoke Park, Guildford . This hugely popular event regularly attracts up to 40,000 visitors on a single day. We are looking forward to seeing many of our returning customers and to meeting hundreds of first timers.  Please visit our stand at any of the events listed to meet members of our team and to try some tasty free samples. Further details of our exact stand locations will be made available nearer the date concerned.Queens Park Preserves strawberry jam with scones and clotted cream

Topping our best selling list for the second year running Queens Park Preserves Chilli jam has proved to again be the most popular product with our customers. In fighting off strong competition at the top of the charts from both our Hot Spicy Onion chutney and the sublime Blackberry & Sloe Gin jam this perennial favourite has shown itself to be a real winner. Made from a combination of fresh and dried chilli, red bell peppers and smoked paprika this wonderful condiment is proving highly addictive! It was originally launched at the 2012 Stratford Food Festival and proved an instant hit. The versatility of Chilli jam means it can be used in a huge variety of ways. These include being used as a glaze on salmon or chicken or as an addition to soups or pasta dishes. Why not try it as a dip or as an accompaniment to a wide variety of cheese. Lunchtime sandwiches are brought alive by its depth of flavour and warmth. And with the summer approaching and the weather beginning to change for the better, don’t forget to keep a jar at the ready for the barbecue season!

It will be very interesting to see if Chilli jam remains at the top of the Queens Park Preserves best seller list in 2014/15 in the face of even stronger competition from two of our newest products, the indulgent Pear and Chocolate jam and the wonderful Red Onion and Balsamic chutney. These two have been very popular from their launch in Febraury 2014 and are already producing strong sales. Ultimately only you can decide but we have a feeling it will be a very close call indeed! Keep an eye on the latest updates as the year moves on.

After a successful two days at Burghley in December 2013 we returned again last weekend for the two day Spring Fine Food Market. The beautiful setting created the perfect backdrop for over 25 specialist artisan food producers. Fine spring weather and the season opening TVR Car Club Rally led to a bumper turnout as we launched two new products, Red Onion & Balsamic chutney and Pear & Chocolate jam. Both proved extremely popular and sold out in record time before the close of the event. New stocks will be available this week. We will be back at Burghley over the August bank holiday weekend (Sunday 24th and Monday 25th). See you there!
